
ArmInfo.Head of the mission of the CIS observers mission in the early elections to the National Assembly of Armenia Yevgeni Sloboda, visited the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia and met with Deputy Prosecutor General and head of the working group on investigation of violations during the upcoming elections Hayk Aslanyan.
As the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office told ArmInfo, the meeting discussed issues related to the prevention of possible criminal acts during the preparation and holding of elections, as well as the possibility of applying measures by the prosecutor's office in case of fixing such violations.
Aslanyan attached great importance to the activities of all observation missions in Armenia, who arrived in the republic to observe the upcoming parliamentary elections on December 9. At the same time, he expressed readiness to actively cooperate with the observation mission of the CIS. Aslanyan also stressed that the law enforcement bodies of the Republic of Armenia have sufficient resources and the will to ensure natural activities both at the present stage of the election campaign and on the day of voting on December 9. -sh-
At the same time, he informed that in the Prosecutor General's Office they monitor the media and social networks about violations and take immediate measures to investigate them fully.
In turn, Sloboda assured that, according to their preliminary observations, there are all prerequisites for holding democratic elections in accordance with the law and providing equal conditions to all political forces. He also stressed the importance of a quick and tough law enforcement response to violations.
