ArmInfo. The court and the investigating authorities must decide the question of changing the preventive measure in relation to General Manvel Grigorian. Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, commenting on the statements of the lawyers of the general that his state of health is incompatible with being under arrest, stated this to journalists.
"There must be a medical examination, after which the investigating authority and the court must decide what measure of restraint it will be", Acting PM declared. He also questioned that there was an expert opinion that showed the incompatibility of the disease and the arrest of the general. "If this were so, then the measure of restraint would be changed. This can not be," - said the Prime Minister.
Manvel Grigoryan is under arrest and is accused of embezzling weapons and other property of the Armed Forces. Earlier, the lawyers of Grigoryan pointed out that due to serious illnesses he should undergo a regular physical examination. They even spoke of the need to change the preventive measure from arrest to a recognizance not to leave the place, but the head of the Special Investigation Service Sasun Khachatryan stated that there are no grounds for this.
