Pashiyan: The lack of lawfulness in Armenia, as well as the lack of  economic development should not be tied to security issues

Acting Prime  Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated during his speech at the  scientific conference "Actual tasks and strategic directions of  development of the Armenian economy".

According to the head of the executive body, such attempts are only  excuses to justify the plunder of the country. "Human, intellectual  capital is our greatest wealth, which we must use for the good of our  country and the future. We must reduce all those factors that cause  discomfort and make our citizens miserable.  One of these factors is  bureaucratic delays. Our goal today, to do everything to ensure the  well-being and happiness of our citizens", Pashinyan said.

At the same time, he urged to abandon attempts to involve the  government in micromanagement, as this would lead to collapse. "Once  in the prime minister's position, I realized that my previous ideas  about the situation in our country were at least" fabulous ", the  reality turned out to be completely different. The government should  serve our economic and strategic needs. It should ensure our  security, and today we have the potential for building such an  economy that will allow accomplishing this task, "said the prime  minister.

At the same time, Pashinyan assured that the issues on the agenda of  this scientific conference fully reflect the goals that the  government has set for itself today, including ensuring  constitutionalism, the rule of law, and increasing the efficiency of  the government's activities, which will be possible after the  successful early parliamentary elections. The head of the executive  body assured that the ideology of today's government is based on  providing equal opportunities for all. According to him, over the  years, people have been taught that the responsibility for success  and failure lies on the shoulders of the authorities. Pashinyan  thinks that it is quite logical if the government takes upon itself  the entire burden of responsibility, however, today we need to change  this situation, it is necessary to create mechanisms for sharing  responsibility. "It is necessary to ensure a change in human  behavior, because it was thanks to such changes that the successful  implementation of our revolution became possible. Today we have made  changes in the political behavior of citizens, and when we can  achieve changes in economic behavior, we will be able to get  results", Pasinyan said. 

In this regard, he stated that in Armenia for many years there was a  bad attitude towards business, he was constantly drawn into political  processes, forcing him to participate in some dark stories. However,  according to the syllables of the head of the executive body,  speaking of this, he does not want to denigrate business in any way,  but on the contrary, considers it necessary to ensure all conditions  for running successful businesses in the country, since this is the  locomotive of the economy.

Pashinyan also agreed that the issue of demography in Armenia is one  of the most urgent. "If we sit and wait for the results of the birth  rate encouragement, we will have to wait for 15-20 years, we must  resolve this issue through repatriation, and not only physical, but  also ideological, cultural, innovative", he noted.

The head of government also touched upon the problems of universities  and expressed the conviction that there should not be their division  into departmental and state ones, there should be a consolidation of  science, education and research on one platform. "Moreover, we must  raise our level of education to international in order to make it  possible to attract foreign students to our country, which will allow  us to pull this area out of the hole in which it finds itself",  Pashinyan concluded.
