ArmInfo.The Armenian government refused to increase funding for political parties. On November 15, the Cabinet rejected the legislative initiative of the MP from the ''Yelk '' bloc Gevorg Gorgisyan, within the framework of which it is proposed to make changes to the RA Law "On Parties" and increase financial assistance to political parties from the state treasury.
According to the Acting Minister of Justice of Armenia Artak Zeynalyan, in the framework of the initiative to increase the role of parties in the political life of the country, it is proposed to increase state financing. Meanwhile, as a result of the approval of the project, an additional obligation in the amount of about 700 million drams will be placed on the shoulders of the state treasury. "But such a burden for the budget is not justified, therefore, we propose to draw a negative conclusion on this legislative initiative," the acting Head of the Ministry of Justice said..
