ArmInfo. "We set the task to hold the highest quality and best elections in the history of the Third Republic," the acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan satd on November 15 at the regular Cabinet meeting.
According to Pashinyan, the existing level of holding elections in Armenia should be raised to a qualitatively new level and the upcoming elections should be held in accordance with international standards.
In this regard, Nikol Pashinyan noted the need to exclude the use of administrative resources during the elections, in particular, to abandon the previous practice of involving the educational system in election processes.
As stressed by the head of government, the decision of citizens should be formed as a result of a competently executed campaign, which will ultimately be manifested by the free will of the voter. Nikol Pashinyan also called on law enforcement officers to carry out preventive work in order to exclude electoral bribes. Such manifestations, as stressed Prime Minister, will meet a tough reaction with all the legal consequences.
Pashinyan also touched upon the electoral lists. According to him, earlier there were cases when during the election period the "migration" of voters was recorded in the polling stations. "Such phenomena should be excluded. We must hold elections at a high level, and I have no doubt that this will happen", Nikol Pashinyan concluded.
