Thus, the ''My Step'' bloc, the ''Republican Party of Armenia'', the ''Prosperous Armenia'' Party, ''ARF Dashnaktsutyun'', the ''Enlightened Armenia'', the ''We'' bloc, the Christian Democratic ''Revival'' Party, Social Democratic ''Citizen's Decision'' Party, ''Orinats Yerkir'' Party, ''National Progress'' Party, ''Sasna Tsrer Party'' submitted applications to the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Armenia on November 14.
Armenian President Armen Sarkissian on November 1 signed a decree on conducting snap elections to the National Assembly of Armenia. According to the decree, the National Assembly is dissolved on the basis of the requirements of articlesfull 92 and 93 of the Constitution and according to the 3rd part of the Article 149 of the Basic Law. According to the decree, snap elections for the National Assembly are scheduled for December 9, 2018. The pre-election campaign will start on November 26 and will last until December 7. About 3 billion drams will be allocated to organize and conduct parliamentary elections from the government's reserve fund. The campaign will last for 12 days.
