ArmInfo. President of Azerbaijan Illham Aliyev closely followed the recent CSTO summit in Astana, Aliyev himself said this at a meeting with the ambassador of  Belarus in Azerbaijan Gennady Akhramovich, haqqin.az informs.

"We are not indifferent, and I think it can be understood. Armenia is  the country that occupied the territory of Azerbaijan and of course,  we are not indifferent, the representative of which country heads the  CSTO, which is a military-political organization. Discussion of these  issues between partners and friends is natural.  We are discussing  other issues of international politics, and this should not cause any  kind of mania in Armenia. I consider the recent statements of the  Foreign Ministry of Armenia to be totally unacceptable in  international practice. The Foreign Ministry cannot comment on the  actions and the words of the president of another country, all the  more considered an ally, to call them incorrect. Such behavior by the  Foreign Ministry of Armenia, which allows itself this kind of  manifestations, is incorrect. Apparently this is the result of an  inadequate perception of the world and itself on the world map,  "Aliyev said.

At the same time, the Azerbaijani leader agreed that there are  problems in the CSTO. Aliyev assured that this problem in the first  place is Armenia itself. "Of course, we cautiously apprehended the  appointment of a representative of Armenia for the post of CSTO  Secretary General. First, because this state pursues a hostile policy  towards Azerbaijan. Secondly, due to the identity of the candidate  himself, who was brought to criminal liability for his actions. And  here we have no doubt what qualities this person possessed and  possesses. It is enough to recall the shameful behavior during  clashes between the Azerbaijani and Armenian armies, which ended in a  bitter defeat for the Armenian one. The army, which was led by the  former CSTO Secretary General. In other words, the very appointment  of such a person to such an important international organization as  the CSTO was to some extent discretization of this organization.  But  how this man was expelled with criminal prosecution is unique event  in international practice. When an international official is thus  brought to justice and no notification has been received to member  states.  Therefore, I want to say again that if there is a problem in  the CSTO, then this is Armenia, "said Aliyev.  To note, President of  Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the meeting with Azerbaijani  Ambassador to Belarus Latif Gandilov told about the details of the  CSTO summit in Astana.  This caused a negative reaction from Yerevan.  Thus, on November 13, at the press conference in Yerevan, the press  secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Anna Naghdalyan touched  upon the discussion of the Belarusian president's issues with the  ambassador of Azerbaijan on the internal agenda of the CSTO and the  correctness of this step from the point of view of Yerevan,  especially considering that the issues were discussed unfriendly to  Armenia. In particular she said: "Armenia considers the CSTO as a  platform for discussing the interests of six countries. These kinds  of phenomena indicate that there are problems within the organization  that need to be addressed. Yerevan considers that this kind of  discussion is incorrect. "
