ArmInfo.Employees of the Yerevan Zoo and the Foundation for the Preservation of Cultural Property and Wildlife (FPWC) rescued a brown bear in the Karbi gorge, located in the Aragatsot region.
According to the zoo, the bear fell into a trap of metal cables. He got out of the first row of wire, but the next one got stuck. According to the director of the zoo, Ruben Khachatryan, fortunately, the cable didn't squeeze the bear around the neck, which could cause the animal to die from suffocation, but its sides. Experts from a distance temporarily put the bear to sleep, then approached him, cut the cables and moved to a safe distance. From there, they followed the bear until it woke up and left.
