ArmInfo. The government of Armenia at the meeting on November 8 issued a negative opinion on the amendments to the law "About the Animal World" submitted by MP Tigran Urikhanian.
According to the Acting Minister of Nature Protection of Armenia Eric Grigoryan, the draft law proposes to prohibit the destruction of stray dogs, as well as to apply new methods to solve this problem. Operatives of the anti- corruption department found out that, starting from 2009, every year in the tender for catching and sterilization of stray dogs the same company won - LLC ''Unigraph-X''. However, the allocated 100 million drams per year were mainly appropriated to the office. In particular, the company's documents show that it acquired 128 tons of chicken meat, while in fact only 12.6 tons were used. In "Unigraph-X", they purchased an acquisition of 206 tons of rice, and in fact used 8.4 tons, and no one saw the declared 25 tons of pork. As a result, as police counted, 185 million drams were appropriated, and this is only for the last 2-3 years.
