ArmInfo.Baku refuted Acting Defense Minister David Tonoyan's statement about direct connection between defense ministries of two countries.
"There is no connection or any other type of contacts between the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Defense of Armenia. There is an agreement in Dushanbe that identified a responsible person who maintains a mutual relationship with Armenia in connection with the situation on the front line, but it is not an employee Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan ", stated in a written statement of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, Haqqin.az reports.
Yesterday, Tonoyan, in an interview with Armenian journalists, said that operational communication was working, and during the violations they immediately reported that appropriate measures should be taken. The Acting Minister of Defense also explained that operational communication is carried out by telephone. "If work is carried out on the front line, we immediately react to it. In the case of movements, actions, engineering works that concern the Azerbaijani side or us, we signal that they should stop. The reaction of the Azerbaijani side has been very constructive to this day", Tonoyan stressed.
