Acting  Armenian Foreign Minister discussed with ambassadors of  Sweden, Finland and Denmark prospects for deepening bilateral  cooperation

ArmInfo.And about. Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received the ambassadors of Sweden Ulrik Tidestroma (residence- Tbilisi), Finland Aryu Makkonen (residence -  Helsinki) and Denmark Ruben Madsen (residence - Kiev).

The press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo that  during the meeting Mnatsakanyan stressed that Armenia attaches great  importance to partnership with the countries of the region,  confirming the readiness of the Armenian side to take practical steps  to more effectively use the existing potential to develop cooperation  with Sweden, Denmark and Finland, especially in terms of the  opportunities that Armenia-EU relations open and the agreement on a  comprehensive and expanded Armenia-EU partnership.  As a priority in  the development of bilateral relations, the parties identified such  areas as innovation, high technology and innovative education.

Referring to the recent internal political processes in Armenia,  Mnatsakanyan affirmed the commitment of the Armenian government   continue the reform process aimed at fighting corruption,  strengthening the justice system, ensuring equality in socio-economic  sphere.

He spoke about the steps taken by the Armenian authorities in  organizing extraordinary parliamentary elections in the country in  accordance with international standards, stressing the importance of  facilitating and interacting with international partners on this  issue.

The interlocutor exchanged views on current international and  regional issues, including the Syrian crisis, the latest processes  around the Iranian nuclear program.

Mnatsakanyan spoke about the position and approaches of Armenia to  resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, reaffirming the commitment of  the Armenian side to an exclusively peaceful settlement of the  conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.
