ArmInfo.National Security Service of Armenia has revealed a criminal group engaged in drug smuggling.
According to the press service of the National Security Service, as a result of the operational-search information was obtained that three Iranian citizens with the aim of the sale imported a large amount of opium through the Meghri customs point to Armenia and hid it in an apartment in Yerevan. Two members of the group were under the control of the NSS. On November 2, they attempted to sell 1454 g of opium, but they were caught at the time of the transfer. In the framework of the criminal case charges were brought against citizens of Iran E.K. and A.B. A search of the apartment revealed 9 g of opium. Measures are taken to clarify other individuals associated with the group.
