ArmInfo. The OSCE Ministerial Meeting in Milan will allow the all parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to be called upon to find the political will to help resolve this issue. OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger announced this on November 2 in Moscow during a press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
The OSCE Secretary General recalled that there is an established format for resolving the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, and now there are three co-chairs of the Minsk Group. "And now, while we are speaking here, they are visiting this region. I think a successful meeting was held in Dushanbe, which will restore confidence between all representatives of the conflict. I hope that the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Milan will allow us to express support for the work of the co-chairs, as well as to urge all parties to find political will in themselves in order to contribute to resolving this issue. I think that this is necessary for all parties to the conflict. Work in a constructive way, in order to avoid forcing out rhetoric, to reduce tension on the line of contact ", Greminger said.
At the same time, he expressed the conviction that it was imperative to use this time in order to create an atmosphere that would promote constructive and well-coordinated negotiations. According to him, such an atmosphere is urgently needed for all parties to make difficult compromises necessary to achieve a long- term and comprehensive peace.
To note the annual meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council this year will be held in Milan in December, chaired by Italy.
