Armen Sarkissian discusses with Alexander Lukashenko about supplies  of weapons to Minsk by Baku 

ArmInfo. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian stated that the issue  of supplying weapons to Minsk to Azerbaijan was on the agenda of his  talks with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

"We discussed everything and everyone. As for the decision of Belarus  to sell weapons to one country or another, let's leave it. We had a  very friendly and confidential conversation. We discussed everything  and everyone, and the fact that Belarus is indeed a factor of  stability in the region ", - said  Sarkissian, answering the  corresponding question of journalists on Thursday in Minsk, reports  tut.by.

At the same time, he added that at the meeting with Lukashenka, he  discussed many issues related to the relations between Belarus and  Armenia: the economic tasks facing the countries, the development of  cooperation in the field of other digital technologies,  biotechnologies.

The President of Armenia also called Minsk a platform for resolving  all conflicts in the region and expressed hope that after the end of  the conflict, documents on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh will be  signed in the Belarusian capital. "The word" Minsk "becomes an  international brand that is associated with stability and peace. And  it's not for nothing that the organization that deals with the issue  of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is called the Minsk Group.  I dream that there will be a day when the final resolution of the  Karabakh conflict and status Nagorno-Karabakh will be resolved and  documents about this will be signed in this beautiful city - Minsk, "  Sarkissian said.

To recall in June 2018, it became known about the deliveries of MLRS  "Polonez"  by Belarus to Azerbaijan. Azeri media reported that they  were  presented to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during  the  opening of another military unit.

MLRS "Polonez" is considered an analogue of the famous Russian   "Iskander". "Polonez" for a minute can release 8 guided   high-precision rockets. Their deviation from the goal does not exceed   plus or minus 30 meters at a range of up to 300 kilometers. This  accuracy, combined with other advantages, allows this missile system   to solve many combat missions, characteristic for operational and   tactical missile systems and bomber aviation. In one volley, the   Polonez battery can cover an area of more than 100 hectares.    Performed on the MZKT-7930 chassis with a wheel formula of 8 by 8,   the complex is very mobile - the wheeled chassis with all the driving   wheels allows to reach speed of up to 70 kilometers per hour.

Earlier, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI)   reported that Azerbaijan purchased arms from Belarus for $ 170   million. The media reported that a deal was made between Azerbaijan   and Belarus on the purchase of a Polonsez multi- launch rocket  system.  The Azeri side paid an advance for the export of the  reactive system.

LORA can be used in both ground and sea bases, to destroy   infrastructure elements (communication nodes, power plants, etc.) and   air defense batteries in the depth of the enemy territory. The range   of fire of this complex exceeds 300 kilometers. The weight of the   rocket is 1580 kilograms. The radius of the lesion is 300 meters.   Each missile has 4 missiles. Readiness of the complex for combat use   is 13 minutes.
