


ArmInfo. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian sent a letter of condolences to his Indonesian counterpart, Joko Widodo, in connection with the crash of a passenger plane that killed about two hundred people.
As the press service of the RA President told ArmInfo, Sarkissian expressed condolences to Widodo and the friendly people of Indonesia, wishing the families and friends of the victims perseverance of spirit.
The Boeing 737 MAX 8 crashed about 13 minutes after departure from Jakarta airport. The debris and personal belongings of the passengers were found in the Java Sea, near the coast of Java. The plane was flying JT610 to the city of Pankalpinang (the capital of the province of Bangka-Belitung). According to the latest data, there were 188 people on board, including seven crewmembers. The airline Lion Air is the largest budget carrier in Indonesia.
