ArmInfo. Head of the Armenian Security Council secretary Armen Grigoryan, Acting Minister of Defense David Tonoyan and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Advisor to the President of the United States John Bolton.
The head of the National Security Council of Armenia, in particular, stressed: "It is significant that such a high-ranking US delegation arrived in Armenia at a crucial moment for it. Armenia attaches great importance to the development of multi-vector relations with the United States."
In turn, Bolton also stressed the importance of the Armenian-American relations, assuring that he was pleased to have the opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues on the bilateral and regional agenda. "I attach great importance to strategic issues of mutual interest, as well as security issues. This is an opportunity to discuss US policy towards Iran, Russia and Syria, as well as our common efforts towards regional stability. We will promote democratic reforms in Armenia, which are the basis for creating a bright and prosperous future, "said Bolton.
During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of the bilateral and regional agenda. Mutually, the role of the Armenian community in the development of bilateral relations was emphasized.
