ArmInfo. Three employees of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia are accused of receiving a bribe on a large scale.
In particular, as reported by the press service of the Police of Armenia, on October 22, employees of the anti-economic crime and corruption control department of the Armenian Police General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime in the implementation of operational information at the time of receiving a bribe of 1 million drams detained the deputy head 10th department of inspections of inspection- management of small taxpayers of SRC Samson Arakelyan. On the suspicion of extortion and bribery, the head of the same department, Suren Eloyan and the inspector Vagharshak Lalayan, were subjected to detention.
It is noted that the SCR employees were detained based on a signal from the director of an LLC, according to which Eloyan, Arakelyan and the inspector Vaghik, demanded 1 million drams, so that during the inspections they "close their eyes" to some aspects and not obstruct the company's activities. Based on the fact, a criminal case under paragraph 2 and 3 of part 3 of Article 311 of the Criminal Code was initiated. Relating to this Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page that only a scoundrel can demand a bribe in the new Armenia, and these scoundrels should be "eradicated."
