ArmInfo. The Acting Chief of the Armenian Police promises to exercise "unprecedented" control during parliamentary elections. Osipyan told this, reporters on October 18. According to Osipyan in the course of the expected early parliamentary elections in December of this year the police will be strict on violators of the law equally - regardless of status and position.
"The police are ready to hold" perfectly "parliamentary elections. In this regard, new approaches will be used, which ones I will not say today," he said. At the same time, he assured that there will be no bloated election lists at the elections.
As the head of the law enforcement agency pointed out, the police are in control of the operational situation in the republic, and at the moment there is no cause for concern. He also ruled out the possibility of activating the anti-revolutionary forces.
As the Head of the Police noted, perhaps in the past there were omissions in the system. But today, as Osipyan stressed, the Police have definitely changed for the better. Some people, are trying to denigrate the police, there are few of them, but he, as the Chief of the Armenian police, is satisfied with the work of each employee, he said. As Osipyan conciders this is confirmed by not only the well-held elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders, but also the Francophonie Summit. "Only professional and strong police could do this kind of work," he said.
