A circle of customers and executors of telephone wiretapping of the Director of the National Security Service (NSS) and the Chairman of the Special  Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia has been  established. Today, methods and ways of interception are being  clarified. Director of the National Security Service Arthur Vanetsian  said this on October 16 in an interview with journalists.

The customer, according to Vanetsian, is from Armenia. However, he  refrained from naming names, only noting that the NSS was not  involved in wiretapping, and the customer was "widely known" to the  public.  "There is only one customer, but it is extremely difficult  to document the participation of this customer, and at this stage it  will not work," said Vanetsian. Nevertheless, Arthur Vanetsian  somewhat opened the brackets. According to him, they managed to  listen to the conversation due to the fact that he was roaming at  that moment. In this mode, as he pointed out, operators, in order to  make a call cheaper, use Internet services, the so-called IP  telephony, which reduces the security of the network. "I was roaming,  and the Internet connection was not protected, that is, any mediocre  expert could perform wiretapping," said Vanietcian.

As he said as a result of the investigative activities of the  Investigative Committee, it turned out that he and Sasun Khachatryan  had 10 telephone conversations on that day. "He called me 8 times, I  called him 2 times. We had more than one conversation with him, which  lasted 8 minutes and 40 seconds. Our longest conversation lasted 2,5  minutes, these conversations are completely mounted and presented as  one conversation. As for my famous statement "wants, does not want,  must give," I also want to explain this. It is already known that the  judge is Vache Margaryan, I call him Hrach. I speak Hrach, referring  to the head of the investigative team of the Special Investigation  Service. His name is Hrach, I don't know his last name, because I  don't even know him, during the press, this guy was sitting next to  us. I say to Sasun Khachatryan, "What does Hrach say?", he replies:  "Hrach speaks, reasonably," but I say: "So he wants, does not want,  must give," said Arthur Vanetsyan .

At the same time, as stated by Vanetsian, he is completely open for  investigation. He provided his own phone to the investigating  authority, even acquainted him with the correspondence with his wife,  and provided information on cash transfers on his personal bank card,  which he could not do.

The head of the National Security Council stressed that there was no  conversation between him and the judge. <I'm not afraid, I don't hide  it, I didn't talk to the judge. I did not speak with the judge, I did  not speak with the judges at all. I have friends of the judge with  whom I can talk about everyday problems, "said Vanetsian. According  to him, the purpose of the wiretapping was his resignation.

On September 11, a recorded telephone conversation appeared on the  network between the director of the National Security Service of  Armenia Artur Vanetsyan and the head of the Special Investigation  Service Sasun Khachatryan. In fact, the "wiretapping" was initiated  two cases under the articlesfull "violation of the secrecy of  correspondence, telephone conversations, postal, telegraph or other  messages" and "unlawful acquisition of computer information in order  to obtain information of particular value", as well as "abuse of  office".
