ArmInfo. It was decided to hold the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of the CSTO in Moscow instead of Yerevan. The Head of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid Kalashnikov told reporters on Monday, TASS reports.
"It was decided to postpone the holding of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CSTO PA. And now this was announced at the Council of the Duma by (State Duma Chairman) Vyacheslav Volodin. We will hold it on October 29-30 in Moscow, not in Armenia" - the Kalashnikov said. According to him, the decision is connected with the possible resignation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"Apparently, the Armenian parliament will be dissolved at this time and this turbulence may still be at the end of October. If the situation develops the way we see it, with whom do we hold the Parliamentary Assembly? Acting one? This is illogical and wrong" - added the Head of the Committee. Therefore, Kalashnikov noted, the PA CSTO will be "quietly held in Moscow." "And when everything in Armenia comes in order, we will work with the incumbent deputies, and with the incumbent prime minister," he concluded.
