According to the source, the meeting of the defense ministers of Armenia David Tonoyan and Sergey Shoigu took place during the meeting of the defense ministers of the CIS countries held in Tashkent. In a separate bilateral meeting, the defense ministers of Armenia and Russia agreed on a plan of cooperation between the two countries for 2019.
To note, on October 12, a regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Defense of the CIS countries was held in Tashkent. At the meeting, the parties discussed the issues on the agenda, and also signed over 20 decisions in the direction of various kinds of cooperation between the military departments. David Tonoyan also met with the head of the defense department of Uzbekistan Abdusal Azizov.
