ArmInfo. On October 12, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received the Prime Minister of Quebec Francois Lego.
According to the press service of the government, during the meeting the sides discussed issues of expanding bilateral economic cooperation. Touching upon the conditions of business in our country, the head of government noted that the business environment in Armenia is gradually improving, becoming more favorable for investments, and the Armenian side is interested in attracting foreign investments. The Prime Minister found promising the development of cooperation in the fields of agriculture and winemaking.
In turn, the Prime Minister of Quebec expressed interest in the development of mutual economic cooperation. In the context of deepening bilateral relations, the interlocutors stressed the importance of strengthening humanitarian ties. In this regard, Francois Lego praised the active role of the Armenian community of Montreal and its important contribution to the social and political life of Quebec.
Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed gratitude to Quebec for his consistent and principled position in connection with the recognition of the Armenian Genocide, condemnation of the denial of genocides and the adoption of a number of resolutions in connection with this issue.
The interlocutors also exchanged thoughts on security issues in the region.
