ArmInfo.Heads of State and Government of OIF Member Countries Continue to Arrive in Armenia. Lebanese President Michel Aoun, First Lady Nadia Al Chami and their accompanying delegation arrived in Yerevan on October 11-12 to participate in the 17th summit of the International Organization of Francophone.
The delegation was met at the Yerevan airport by the Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Papikyan. The accompanying delegation includes ministers Gattas Khuri and Avedis Gitanyan. Deputy Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil will join the delegation later, along with a number of ambassadors and diplomats, reports NNA. The Lebanese President will deliver a speech and meet with heads of state and delegations participating in the summit.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived in Yerevan on an official visit today. At Zvartnots airport, he was met by Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan. In the framework of the visit, Canadian Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with the head of the government of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II. Trudeau will also visit the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex for the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Trudeau's visit to Armenia will end on October 13.
Recall that the Week of Francophony started in Yerevan on October 7, which will last until October 12. The official part of the summit will be held October 11-12. More than 40 Heads of State and Government of the OIF Member States will take part in it.
