ArmInfo. The fact of the sale of weapons to Azerbaijan is unacceptable and causes concern. On October 9, during a meeting with the Chairman of the Slovak National Parliament, Andrei Danko, Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Edward Sharmazanov said.
According to the press service of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, the Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly expressed concern over the sale of the Slovak company "MSM Martin" to Azerbaijan. "This country is using weapons against the peaceful population of Artsakh," said the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia.
During the meeting, the sides discussed all conflicts, including the peace process of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The interlocutors discussed issues relating to bilateral parliamentary relations, stressed the importance of reciprocal visits, cooperation at the level of friendship groups. Edward Sharmazanov expressed his gratitude for the assistance of the United Nations General Assembly in the Slovak Parliament to the international exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocides.
The parties also discussed issues related to improving the efficiency of cooperation between the parliaments of the two states in international structures. The Vice-Speaker stressed the importance of the ratification by the Slovakian Parliament of the Agreement on the Comprehensive and Expanded Cooperation of Armenia with the European Union as soon as possible.
