ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia revealed the transnational criminal group on the transport of drugs to Turkey.
As reported by the press office of the State Revenue Committee, on September 30, when checking operational information, in the customs control zone of the arrival hall of the Zvartnots airport, during the customs inspection of a passenger of the Dubai-Yerevan flight, a citizen of Guatemala Hernandez Aguilar Ondin Lyset 4 metal containers with a substance similar to cocaine in 3.5 kg were found in her suitcase. According to an expert assessment by the RA Police, the substance detected is cocaine. In fact, a criminal case has been opened in the Investigation Department of the SRC.
As part of the criminal case, as a result of urgent large-scale activities carried out jointly with employees of the department for combating illicit drug trafficking of the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Armenian Police, it turned out that a Guatemalan citizen was transporting a drug from the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo. She had to hand over the smuggled goods to an unknown person in a room in one of the hotels in Yerevan, or in the nearby territory.
According to the results of operational-search activities, on October 3, a citizen of Kazakhstan, Elena Koltisheva, was taken to IC SRC, who flew to Armenia from Turkey on the same day to receive a narcotic substance and its further transportation to Turkey.
"Operational-search actions in the framework of the criminal case continue to identify all the participants and the orderer of the crime," the IC SRC said.
