ArmInfo. The Chief of the Armenian Police Valery Osipyan does not see the need to revise the law "On Police". He stated this on October 4 in an interview with journalists, referring to the ARF Dashnaktsutsyun proposal to revise the relevant law in order to reassign the Police from the Prime Minister to the government.
"I do not see any need for this. The current regulation in no way constrains the actions of the Police, which, in the first place, is governed by the Constitution of the Republic and the legal norms arising from the document'', he said. It should be noted that the other day the ARF took the initiative to revise the RA Law "On Police". As the party says, one of the main arguments "against" the holding of early parliamentary elections until the spring of next year is precisely the fact that the RA Police is currently directly subordinate to the Prime Minister. They also propose to make the law enforcement agency subordinate to the government.
