ArmInfo.46 Armenian non-governmental organizations focused the attention of the international community on the permanent shelling of Armenian villages by Azerbaijan. In a statement, representatives of public organizations, in particular, stressed that the unlawful actions of Azerbaijan violate all the norms of international humanitarian law and human values. The authors of the statement called on the international community to give a clear assessment of the actions of Baku on the basis of the norms of international law.
The statement of public organizations, in particular, reads: "From 13 to 17 September, the armed forces of Azerbaijan fired at the border villages of Tavush region of Armenia - Chinari, Baghanis, Kochi, Vazashen, Voskevan, Berkaber and Aygehovit. On 15 September, the village of Areni in Vayots Dzor region was shot.
During the shelling of the village of Chinari, bullets hit the building of the kindergarten, as well as the houses of some residents of the village. In the village of Koti, a citizen Suren Sepkhanyan was injured, bullets damaged the walls and roofs of farms, schools and kindergartens. The shelling occurred in the daytime, when the children were in schools, kindergartens or in the yard. Such actions violate the norms of human rights and international humanitarian norms. The purpose of the shelling is to create an atmosphere of fear and panic in Armenian villages. "
