ArmInfo. It's not that the Armenian side should be very interested in meeting with the US president, but the American side is not. Both sides should be interested in this meeting. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated this in a conversation with journalists in the "Kamar" business center, touching on the question of why the latter could not meet with US President Donald Trump alone in the UN General Assembly.
The prime minister noted that he had not been able to talk privately with Trump, however, he managed to make short contacts with the US president, with Vice President Mike Pence, with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. "We discussed the need to further organize the meeting, I hope that we will succeed," Pashinyan said.
Recently the head of the Armenian government paid a working visit to the United States. Within the framework of the visit, Pashinyan took part in the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly.
