As the independent news agency of Tajikistan ASIA-Plus informs, within the framework of the meeting, issues of increasing cooperation in trade, economic, machine-building, mining, agricultural, technological and other spheres were also discussed.
The issues of setting up joint ventures for the processing of precious stones and jewelry production, establishing cooperation in the provision of financial and banking services, etc. were touched upon. Humanitarian ties, culture and science, education and health, tourism were also called important areas of cooperation between Armenia and Tajikistan.
In conclusion, Emomali Rahmon invited Pashinyan to visit Tajikistan at an appropriate time for him on an official visit.
Recall that tomorrow, September 28, the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held in the Tajik capital. As the press service of the CIS Executive Committee informs, in total 16 issues are planned to be considered. In particular, the draft decision on the declaration of the heads of state participating in the Organization on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of December 10, 1948, the plan of the main events for the preparation and celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. Also, the CIS heads of state will discuss the issue of the implementation of the Interstate Program "Cultural Capitals of the Commonwealth" in Tajikistan in 2021 (to declare the city of Dushanbe the cultural capital of the Commonwealth in 2021). It is planned to consider a number of projects in the sphere of ensuring security and countering new challenges and threats. Here the main is the Interstate Program of Joint Measures to Combat Crime for 2019-2023. Also, the summit participants will discuss the Agreement on Cooperation of the CIS member states in the fight against crimes in the field of information technology.
