Armenian National Security Service decided to stop criminal  prosecution of the illegally crossing Turkish citizen

ArmInfo. On July 25, 2018, the National Security Service of Armenia instituted criminal proceedings on the fact of the illegal penetration of a minor citizen of Turkey  into Armenia without appropriate documents.

According to the NSS press service, according to the facts,  16-year-old Umud Ali Ozmen passed the protected state border of  Armenia without proper permission on July 24, 2018, and transferred  from the Republic of Turkey to the territory of the Republic of  Armenia. After that, near the checkpoint "Megrashat", having crossed  the barbed wire, was caught by the officers of the border control  department of the FSB of the Russian Federation.

Umud Ali Ozmen is charged under Article 329 of the RA Criminal Code,  arrest was imposed as a preventive measure against the latter. During  the investigation of the criminal case, Umud Ali Ozmen regretted what  he had done, and gave confessions. He noted that he always wanted to  visit Armenia and compare with her his native Kars. And since he is a  minor, and he did not have the relevant documents, the only way to  get to Armenia was to cross the state border illegally.  The  investigating body, guided by humanistic principles and considering  that Umud Ali Ozmen is a minor, gave confessions and regretted what  he had done, on September 25, 2018, he decided to stop the criminal  prosecution and criminal proceedings against him. The detention was  canceled and the Turkish citizen was given the opportunity to leave  Armenia in the established order.

Meanwhile, Ozmen while walking through the streets of Yerevan, the  network appeared his photos, under which he confesses his love for  the capital of Armenia.
