ArmInfo.Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan received the head of the department of regional programs of the Eastern Neighborhood in the General Directorate of Neighborhood and Expansion of the European Commission Vasilis Maragos, the head of the European Commission's Main Directorate for Trade Department Petros Surmelis and the head of the EU delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Pyotr Svitalski.
As the press service of the government reports, the vice-premier presented the results of the work of the interdepartmental commission coordinating the implementation of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Expanded Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and the Armenia-EU partnership priorities document. In his turn, Ambassador Peter Svitalsky noted that he is impressed with the work done by Armenia on the projects presented in the framework of the EU Action Plan for 2018. The Ambassador also noted with satisfaction the quality of the work of the interdepartmental commission and expressed hope for the development of further cooperation with Armenia. Vasilis Maragos also highly appreciated the activities of the Armenian side within the framework of the existing programs, noted that he expects continued constructive cooperation, and called for speeding up this process.
During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on possible new Armenia-EU cooperation programs. The Vice Prime Minister stressed that Armenia highly appreciates all the programs implemented by the EU in our country and the government will make every effort to ensure their effective implementation.
