ArmInfo. Deputy President of the Armenian Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov in his speech during the 11th session of the Inter-parliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the Parliaments of Armenia and Belarus held in Minsk touched upon the activity of the CSTO and the problems of regional security.
According to the press service of the Armenian parliament, Sharmazanov, in particular, noted: "The importance of the Armenian-Belarusian inter-parliamentary relations is also realized in the membership of our two states in the CSTO and the EEU." Security issues continue to remain key for our region. The CSTO adopted a declaration according to which the military-technical cooperation of the member countries of the organization should be a priority, but it is not a secret that some CSTO member states are selling weapons to Azerbaijan. To note that from the weapons sold to Azerbaijan are shooting towards the CSTO member - Armenia.
I should note that recently Azerbaijani forces often shoot at civilians in the border regions of Armenia, which is a gross violation of all international norms. I think our partners should condemn such a destructive policy, "the Deputy President of the Armenian Parliament concluded.
