ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan who is on a working visit to New York met with Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui. As the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo, the parties discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda. The interlocutors underlined the mutual responsibility to implement joint practical steps to intensify the political dialogue, including through the holding of inter-ministerial consultations.
The parties discussed in details the forthcoming summit of Francophonie in Yerevan in October this year, planned events, as well as a proposed list of participants.
Mnatsakanyan presented Armenia's priorities during the chairmanship in the International Organization of Francophonie, calling the smart development and promotion of the digital agenda as main priorities. Touching upon the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Mnatsakanyan reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to the exclusively peaceful settlement of the conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group. In this context, the Armenian Minister also noted that attempts to move the conflict settlement to other formats harm the negotiation process and the efforts of the international community to establish peace.
