ArmInfo. Mikayel Manukyan, a candidate for the post of the capital's mayor from the ARF, assessed the course of the election campaign as "satisfactory". Today he voted for the "future of the people - one and solidarity" and "in the name of a well-organized Yerevan".
Nevertheless, as Manukyan told journalists, the elections were slightly politicized, and the "My step" block used an administrative resource during the election campaign. The Prime Minister took an active part in the electoral campaign of the bloc and supported Hayk Marutyan's candidacy. Moreover, he said that these elections are aimed at consolidating the results of the revolution in the country. "The municipal elections were given a nationwide character aimed at supporting the prime minister," he said.
Manukyan also said that during the election campaign there was a certain "information pressure" on the ARF and personally. At the same time, he abstained from calling the "authors" of these shares. As for the actions of the police during the campaign, according to Manukyan, the law enforcement agency acted ®- professionally in the pre-election headquarters of the Prosperous Armenia party, because "it is impossible to carry out such events based on unreliable information, especially during the pre-election period." "This is not serious" - said the candidate.
Recall that on the eve, on the day of silence, the police, based on received signals, conducted searches at the headquarters of the Prosperous Armenia Party in the administrative district of Ajapnyak. Three people were taken to the department on suspicion of bribing votes. Naira Zohrabyan, a candidate for mayor from PAP who came to the place, refuted suspicions of bribery and already sent a complaint to the republic's ombudsman.
