ArmInfo.The police actions in one of the headquarters of the Prosperous Armenia Party in the capital's Ajapnyak community were legal. On September 23 the chief of the RA Police Valery Osipyan told journalists after fulfilling the voting procedure at the elections to the Council of Elders of Yerevan.
According to the head of the RA Police, any signal on violations during the elections is subject to investigation. "There are several criminal cases opened for investigation," Valery Osipyan said, refraining from mentioning the political forces that committed the offenses. "There is no tension anywhere in the elections, everything goes well," said the RA Police Chief.
The day before, Ivetta Tonoyan, the spokeswoman for the Prosperous Armenia party, posted on its Facebook page that the Armenian Police was in one of the eadquarters of the party's party in the Yerevan district of Ajapnyak. On the video, the police officer reads the lists of citizens found in the headquarters.
In turn, the candidate for mayor from "Prosperous Armenia" Naira Zohrabyan, who arrived at the headquarters, refutes suspicions of bribery. "I stated this to the head of the Central Electoral Commission Tigran Mukuchyan," she said.
In turn, the head of the press service of the Police Edgar Janoyan said that three people were delivered from the headquarters to the police station. "Concerning them, as well as on the territory of the headquarters, appropriate actions are carried out," said Janoyan.
Earlier, the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia issued a communication about the initiation of three criminal cases in connection with the attempt to give pre-election bribes. At the same time, the investigative body does not specify who specifically offered bribes.
