ArmInfo.The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border is stable at the moment. Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan told journalists on September 21.
"Thanks to the measures taken by the Armenian Armed Forces, at the moment the situation on the border is stable," Tonoyan assured.
Touching upon the death of the Armenian serviceman-contractor Haykaz Matevosyan at the frontline in the Tavush region of Armenia, the Defense Minister stressed that Matevosyan was killed from the enemy's aimed fire.
To note, recently Azerbaijan regularly shells the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border, including settlements. Last week, a 60-year-old civilian from the borde village of Kochi was wounded by a bullet of the enemy, and on September 19 a contract serviceman of the Armenian Armed Forces received a deadly gunshot wound.
