ArmInfo. As of today the situation on the Armenian- Azerbaijani state border is stable. Artsrun Hovhannisyan, a Spokesman for the Armenian Defense Ministry, told ArmInfo in a conversation with the correspondent.
According to him, the day before the enemy fired on the Armenian side, but it was not as intense as it was in the previous days and was suppressed by the return fire from the Armenian Armed Forces. In this context, he recalled that on the night of September 15 the enemy opened fire in the direction of the positions of the 3rd Army Corps of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia (Tavush Region - Ed. note). Hovhannisyan noted that the shooting was mainly carried out from large-caliber firearms, but thanks to the competent and coordinated actions of the Armenian Armed Forces, the enemy's activity was suppressed. To note that the border village of Kochi was fired on September 15. As a result of the shelling, a 60-year-old resident of the village Suren Sepkhanyan was wounded in the leg. The latter said that he feels well, and the bone is not affected.
Hovhannisyan also stressed that, in the current situation, the Armenian Defense Ministry does not see the need to address the CSTO, as the RA Armed Forces carry out the tasks assigned to them. "This is not necessary, our Armed Forces carry out the tasks assigned to them," the Spokesman of the Defense Ministry stressed. To recall in recent days the Azerbaijani army has been intensively attacking the border villages of the Tavush region of Armenia.
