ArmInfo. The newly appointed Ambassador of Switzerland to Armenia Stefano Lazaroto on August 14 presented his credentials to President Armen Sargsyan.
As the press office of the president reports, Sargsyan noted that friendly relations have historically developed between Armenia and Switzerland. The President considered the level of cooperation between the two countries in the field of politics and economy satisfactory, noting that the Armenian-Swiss relations have great potential. He also expressed confidence that the newly appointed ambassador will contribute to the development of the Armenian-Swiss relations. In turn, the ambassador noted that the opening of the Swiss Embassy in Armenia in 2011 facilitated the development of bilateral friendly relations. He expressed readiness to make every effort to deepen bilateral cooperation in all spheres.
