Ara Babloyan: The fact of wiretapping phone conversation between the  heads of NSS and SIS is very disturbing

ArmInfo. The fact of wiretapping the telephone conversation of the heads of the National Security Service and the Special Investigative Service is very  disturbing, Ara Babloyan, President of the National Assembly of  Armenia, told journalists on September 12.

"It is very alarming that such an indecent incident occurred, the  fact that one can listen to the head of the National Security Service  is puzzling," the President said.

At the same Babloyan refused to comment on the fact that, according  to the record, the judge is calling the head of the NSS to consult on  the verdicts being made.

As for Nikol Pashinyan's statements that the latter will carry out a  raid against the oligarchs, Babloyan said:  "We must carry out our  steps in four areas - to ensure security in the country, to develop  the economy, improve the living conditions of our citizens and  strengthen democracy. Any departure from these goals is unacceptable  for me. "

To note, an audio message of a telephone conversation between the  Director of the National Security Service of Armenia Artur Vanetsyan  and the head of the Special Investigation Service Sasun Khachatryan  was spread in the internet yesterday. During the 8-minute  conversation, they are discussing the possible arrest of former  Armenian President Robert Kocharyan, as well as criminal cases  brought against the CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov and  former Defense Minister Mikael Harutyunyan. All the three are accused  of overthrowing the constitutional system during the post-election  events of 2008, which resulted in the death of 10 people.
