Iranian drug couriers arrested on Armenian-Georgian border

ArmInfo. Armenian border guards detained Iranian drug couriers on the Armenian-Georgian border.

 

According to the Armenian State Revenue Commitee, two Iranian citizens Farhad Ebrahim Soleymani and Leila Noraldin Dostkan arrived in Armenia at 01:30am on September 7. Having passed the republic by transit, at 12:30pm they drove up to the Bagratashen checkpoint.

 

The border guards had already received an alarm. But they did not find anything in their personal belongings. After that the Iranians were taken to the hospital of the city of Noyemberyan. Several packages were found in different parts of their bodies. According to the confessions of the detainees, they carried heroin. The substance found was sent for examination.
