Former Head of Armenian Court of Cassation received gunshot wounds but refused from hospitalization

ArmInfo. The former Head of the Armenian Court of Cassation Arman Mkrtumyan received a gunshot wound when a his mansion in Dzorahpyur was attacked.

As the" Erebuni " medical center informed ArmInfo Mkrtumyan received gunshot wounds to the left lumbar and left forearm. He was taken to the "Erebuni" medical center by ambulance, but after receiving the first medical aid he refused from hospitalization. According to the report of the Armenian Investigative Committee, on August 28 at 10:00pm, three masked men armed with assault rifles penetrated the mansion of the former Chairman of the Armenian Court of Cassation Arman Mkrtumyan in Dzoraghpyur. During the attack, Arman Mkrtumyan and his family were at home. According to preliminary data, the attackers fired several shots. One of the alleged criminals was detained. A criminal case was opened on the fact of armed robbery and illegal trafficking of arms and ammunition.

To note, on the same day at 11:00pm  GOR M. submitted a statement to the police station of Kotayk that on August 28 at about 10:00pm three armed men in masks entered his mansion in Dzoraghpyur. Gor M. and his father resisted. Gor M. from his gas pistol system "Walter" managed to neutralize one of the attackers, armed with automatic weapons. The other two disappeared. The operational group which arrived at the scene found that at about10:00pm  a resident of Gyumri 42-year-old Ryzhenko and  two other persons whose identity has not been revealed yet armed with assault rifles penetrated the indicated mansion.  Encountering resistance, the unknown opened a random shooting, and then disappeared. In the courtyard of the house 16 7,62 mm cartridges, AKM automatic machine, a sports bag with adhesive tape and scrap were found. Ryzhenko was detained. Measures have been taken to detect the two other participants in the attack.
