ArmInfo.China's friendly relations with Armenia attach special importance to cooperation in the health sector as well. This was stated by the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Armenia Tian Erlong during a meeting with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Torosyan.
As the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Health reports, the importance of the Armenian-Chinese cooperation at a high level was mutually noted. At the same time, the parties expressed confidence that the relationship will be further strengthened Arsen Torosyan highly appreciated the assistance of the Chinese side to the healthcare sphere of Armenia. He recalled that China provided Armenia with 200 ambulances, which will completely replace the republic's vehicle fleet service.
According to the Minister, in the nearest future the whole shipment of ambulance vehicles, donated by China, will arrive in Armenia. Then the Ministry of Health will distribute ambulances across the country.
In his turn, Ambassador Erlong noted the readiness to exchange experience with Armenia in the implementation of medical insurance, as well as retrain doctors. The interlocutors touched upon the implementation of joint steps in the field of e pharmaceuticals.
The agreement on the provision of 200 ambulances was signed in Yerevan by the ex-Minister of Health of Armenia Levon Altunyan and the adviser on trade and economic issues of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Armenia, Mr. Wang Shicai. In 2011, China has already donated 90 ambulance cars to Armenia. The signing took place within the framework of the meeting of Altunyan with Chinese Ambassador Tian Erlun and deputy director of the company "China National Township Enterprises Corporation" Jan Jinming.
