ArmInfo. Armenia's President Armen Sarkissian sent a letter of condolences to the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella on the disaster in Genoa which claimed multiple human lives.
"I share the Italian people's and your grief and wish fortitude and tenacity to the families and friends of the victims as well as a speedy recovery to the injured," the letter of the President reads, the press service of the Armenian President informs. A motorway bridge collapsed in the northwest Italian city of Genoa on August 14. The length of the crashed part of the bridge exceeds 200 meters. As a result 30-35 vehicles and several trucks were trapped in rubble. The reason of collapse is not known yet.
