ArmInfo.CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov can leave the country for some time. This was reported to the correspondent of ArmInfo by the press secretary of the Special Investigative Service SIS of Armenia Marina Ohanjanyan.
"The preventive measure chosen against Yuri Khachaturov is not an obstacle for him to absent himself from Armenia for some time," the press service noted. At the same time, the CAS did not detail the permissible period of his absence from the country.
According to Ohanjanian, Khachaturov is already aware of this.
To recall, Khachaturov is accused of overthrowing the constitutional system in 2008, at that time he held the post of the head of the Yerevan garrison. By a court decision of July 28, he was arrested, and released on bail in the amount of 5 million drams. In the same case, the second president Armenia Robert Kocharyan, now in custody and ex-head of defense of the Republic of Armenia Mikael Harutyunya, who was put on the wanted list. Earlier, the defense of CSTO Secretary General Yury Khachaturov appealed to the investigative body with a petition to allow him to fly to Moscow for the performance of his official duties. Today, lawyers again appealed to the investigative body, because they did not receive a response to their earlier bottom application.
To note, the legislation of the republic does not provide for an accused, who is at large on bail, an obligation to permanently reside in the republic. At the same time, the law prohibits an accused who is released on bail to leave the republic without the knowledge of the investigative body.
