Armenian President`s Office handed over the position of Armen  Sarkissian on arrest of Robert Kocharyan

ArmInfo. The Office of the President of Armenia, in response to a request by ArmInfo, conveyed the position of Armen Sarkissian on the arrest of second President Robert Kocharian in the March 1, 2008 case.

The current events are to be considered solely in the legal  framework.This matter is dealt with by bodies that are endowed with  constitutional independence and corresponding legal powers and  functions.The Armenian Constitution clearly defines the powers and  functions of all branches of power, including the president, any  assessments on this and other similar issues.The Constitution also  does not require the president to assess the events on March 1, 2008,  "the presidential administration explained.
