ArmInfo. The RA State Revenue Committee (SRC) conducts measures for control in the sphere of public catering. According to the Committee's official statement, the changes in the tax legislation were aimed at enabling entrepreneurs engaged in public catering activities to pay taxes based on sales volumes, which is more justifiable from a tax point of view.
According to the source, at the last meeting with representatives of the public catering sector, which took place on January 25 this year, SRC employees presented current risks, suggesting economic entities to reconsider their behavior. However, the results of ongoing monitoring and verification indicate that non-issuance of a cash voucher and the presence of unregistered employees for entrepreneurs are a regularity.
The SRC notes that all control measures are carried out within the framework of the powers delegated to the Committee in accordance with the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in the food industry in 2017, 112 billion drams were provided, with annual growth of 19.4%. In January-May 2018, revenues increased by 24.4% to 41 billion drams.
