ArmInfo. The Armenian Special Investigation Service has never reported that the cars found in the garage of General Manvel Grigoryan's house were on the balance of the Defense Army of Nagorno-Karabakh. This is stated in the statement spread by the Service.
According to the information, during the preliminary investigation, factual data were received that in 2016, during the April war a number of benefectors presented numerous cars to the the Defense Army of Artsakh, but part of them did not reach the intended recipient, but as a result of searches was found on the territories belonging to M. Grigoryan. "It turned out that these cars stand in the names of Grigoryan's relatives." The preliminary investigation continues, "the Ministry said in a statement.
To recall, Levon Mnatsakanyan, Artsakh Republic's Defense Minister, told journalists on July 24 that the cars found in the mansion of the former leader of the Yerkrapah Union of Volunteers, lieutenant-general Manvel Grigoryan, have nothing to do with the Artsakh Defense Army. "Why are you so assured that the cars found at Manvel Grigoryan's house belonged to the army?," asked Mnatsakanyan. The Minister pointed out that a video was put in internet showing that philanthropists from Astrakhan personally handed over the cars to "Yerkrapah" and its youth wing so that they could use them during the organization of the exercises. "I declare with full responsibility that all cars donated to the Defense Army are on the balance sheet of the Defense Army," he stressed.
