ArmInfo.The deputy director of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood Policy and the talks on the expansion of the European Commission, Katarina Mathernova, will visit Armenia on July 19-20.
As the press service of the EU delegation to Armenia told ArmInfo, the visit of high-ranking officials of the European Union confirms the readiness of the EU to deepen relations with Armenia.
Katarina Mathernova is to meet with the Minister of Economic Development and Investments Artsvik Minasyan and the Head of the Ministry of Finance of Armenia Atom Janjughazyan, as well as with Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.
The EU representative will hold meetings with representatives of international financial institutions and civil society. She will also take part in the opening ceremony of the forum on the External Investment Project, an e-management program funded by the EU.
The event will present a unified platform for the interaction of electronic services at all border checkpoints. In parallel, information will be provided on EU assistance to the field of e-management.
It should be noted that the other day during the press conference, the head of the EU delegation to Armenia Piotr Switalski said that at the end of the week, Deputy Director of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood Policy and negotiations on the expansion of the European Commission Katarina Mathernova will visit Armenia. As Switalski noted, Mathernova will meet with ministers, representatives of civil society, with other donors and will discuss all issues related to assistance.
