On the occasion of the National Holiday - Bastille Day, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the French Embassy in Yerevan yesterday, congratulating the embassy staff and the French people on behalf of the government and people of Armenia. The Prime Minister, according to the press service of the government, wished the people of France prosperity and continued development.
Nikol Pashinyan pointed out the friendly character of the Armenian-French relations and added that they are based not only on political, economic, but also on lasting human ties. According to the head of government, in Brussels he held a warm and fruitful meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that this meeting will give a new impetus to the further development of the Armenian-French relations. Nikol Pashinyan also expressed confidence that the 17th Summit of Francophonie, which is to be held in Yerevan in the autumn, will help expand cooperation in different spheres, not only with France, but also with other francophone countries.
Jonathan Lacote thanked the Prime Minister for his visit to the embassy and congratulations. The diplomat noted that the revolution in Armenia and the changes taking place aroused great interest in France, including investors. Gradually, the number of enterprises wishing to implement investment projects in Armenia is increasing. According to Jonathan Lakota, today in Armenia there is a great positive energy that will have a big impact on the Armenian-French ties and attracting investments.
