As a result of the operational-search operations, it turned out that these drugs and weapons belong to the citizen of Armenia, 31-year-old Narek Aleksandrovich Sargsyan. In the course of the special operation on June 25, the NSS operatives in Aram Street detained citizens of Serob Sahakyan and Vladimir Shahinyants. They were carrying suitcases. Before leaving the country, Narek Sargsyan handed Serob Sahakyan an apartment key in a house in Aram Street, and on June 25, through his bodyguard, asked Sahakyan to take two suitcases from the apartment and hide them. During the personal search, cocaine, methamphetamine, four pistols, one of which with a silencer, cartridges, tablets of unknown origin, as well as glass and plastic tubes with a whitish and dark coating, were found in the suitcases in Vladimir Shahinyants and Serob Sahakyan's suitcases. In addition, the SNB received a message that as early as 2013 Narek Sargsyan, abusing the trust of one of the heirs of the artist Martiros Saryan, took from him 14 sketches worth about 280 thousand dollars, promising to pay for them 28 thousand dollars. For the remaining amount promised to jointly open a casino. After the paintings were handed over to Sargsyan, he broke his promise, ignored the demands of the artist's heir and did not return the paintings. On the fact of the application, the Investigation Department of the National Security Service instituted criminal proceedings on the grounds of clause 1, part 3, art. 178 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (fraud). Within the framework of the criminal case on July 4, a search was carried out at the address of Narek Sargsyan's residence permit, during which Martiros Saryan's paintings, 115 thousand dollars, 27 thousand euros, expensive watches, a lot of gold coins, ornaments were discovered, the legitimacy of which will be checked in the criminal case . In the course of the search, Narek Sargsyan's father, Alexander Sargsyan, reported that the pictures were allegedly bought by him. He was interrogated in the investigation department of the National Security Service regarding the circumstances of the deal. In addition, he was faced with a confrontation with the reporting person, who again stated that Narek Sargsyan had stolen the drawings with deceit. After the search, Narek's brother - Hayk Sargsyan was not invited to the National Security Service, he participated in investigative activities in another law enforcement agency. Searches were also carried out in the territories belonging to Narek Sargsyan, as well as in his expensive cars. In one place in a metal safe in the study, a container was found, in it - a substance resembling a narcotic with a set of items for their consumption. "One of the cars - Mercedes-Benz GLE 400 4matic in 2017 worth about 90 thousand dollars - the above person involved in questionable transactions and known for his erratic habits, without hesitation gave a friend," - said the National Security Service.
